In the past few years, we have seen a significant increase in the number of electric vehicles on our roads, and its quantity is growing every year. The total number of electric vehicles on the territory of Ukraine has almost reached fifty thousand, and more precisely, as of October 1, 2020, it is 49 618 electric vehicles. However, Ukrainians began to purchase hybrid cars with fuel and electric transmission more often than pure electric vehicles in the ratio of 25,556 hybrids to 24,052 electric cars.

If we consider brands that are favorite in sales of electric vehicles, then as of the beginning of the 4th quarter of 2020, Tesla and Renault broke out into the leaders, having overtaken the long-term leader Nissan, which lost about 3% of its sales in the Ukrainian market.

The leading regions in terms of the number of electric vehicles are Kiev and Odessa regions. They are followed by Kharkiv, Lviv and Dnepropetrovsk regions.

We believe that one of the driving factors behind the growth in the number of green vehicles is the development of charging infrastructure for electric cars, which makes it easier for their owners to move not only on city highways, but also on intercity ones.
